3 Podcasts You Should be Listening to

Happy Halloween!

I’m so excited for this post today because podcasts are something I’ve recently become obsessed with.  Since August I haven’t been able to get enough of these three channels.  Before this fall I quite honestly didn’t even know where to find podcasts, and I certainly didn’t know how to pick which ones to listen to.  It seemed like a weird concept to just listen to people talking instead of watching a video or listening to music, but it quickly became one of my favorite parts of my day or week. My favorite way to listen is to go on walks around my neighborhood with my earphones in, or I’ll listen to an episode if I’m eating at a restaurant or in the cafeteria by myself.  It can be a form of self care as well because you’re taking time to simply listen to the words these people are saying.  A couple of the podcasts are also really uplifting, and they guide you to a better mood and a more loving outlook on life. So here we go!

  1. Dirty John (L.A. Times)

This is a crazy-good podcast because it combines podcasts with crime T.V. (my two passions). It is essentially a narration of the entire life, and crimes, of a man named John Meehan. It follows the story of him swindling families across America by creating these false identities for himself.  It has some really great story telling, and I very quickly became addicted.

2. Oprah’s SuperSoul Conversations (Oprah Winfrey Network)

This is the podcast that really launched my search for spirituality and oneness within myself. Every episode is an interview with a different expert in a variety of fields all relating to the theme of self exploration and betterment.  She includes everything from how to meditate, with tips from a buddhist monk, to creating the life you love, with suggestions from the founder of the Agape Spiritual Center. It’s really a podcast from which everyone can learn and grow.

3. Your Own Magic (Allie Michelle and Raquelle Mantra)

Screen Shot 2017-10-29 at 2.22.12 PMThis is pretty new podcast, and if I had to pick my favorite this would probably be it.  The women behind the show are so inspiring, and the way they speak is friend to friend.  They speak about the more metaphysical side of the universe, and explore topics such as creative manifestation, crystals, self-love, and setting intentions. Every time I listen to this podcast I feel like my mind is reset to a place of positivity and empathy.

Let me know if you give any of these a shot! Also, let me know what you like to listen to!! Have a great week.
